Bacon Double Cheeseburgers

Bacon Double Cheeseburgers are double delicious for a family favorite meal. Epic grilled burgers piled high with cheese, bacon, white bbq sauce and all of your favorite toppings. Skip the drive-thru and have dinner on the table in no time at all.

Ingredients for Bacon Double Cheeseburgers:

  • Lean Ground Beef: 80/20
  • Steak Rub: Our favorite seasoning for burgers or steaks.
  • American Cheese: Cheddar or Swiss work great too.
  • Bacon: Easiest way to cook bacon is in the oven!
  • White BBQ Sauce: A tangy mayo based sauce with horseradish and garlic. Perfect for anything on the grill including burgers.
  • Spicy Mustard: A sweet and spicy mustard sauce with tons of flavor.
  • Toppings: Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Pickles

How to Make Double Bacon Cheeseburgers:

  • Divide ground beef into 1/4 pound balls. Form into thin patties.
  • Sprinkle with steak rub on both sides.
  • Cook the bacon until crispy and drain on a paper towel lined plate.

  • Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory or pecan chunks for smoke flavor.
  • Cook burgers for about 5 minutes with the grill closed.

  • Flip the burgers and cook another 3- 5 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°.

  • Remove from grill and top burger patties with a slice of cheese.

  • Build the burgers: spread white bbq sauce over buns, layer lettuce, tomato, pickles, 2 cheeseburger patties, bacon slices, another drizzle of white bbq sauce and the top bun.
  • Serve immediately.

How to Store and Reheat:

  • Store burger patties wrapped in plastic wrap or foil in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
  • To reheat: Reheat in an air fryer on 350° for 3 – 4 minutes. For the stovetop,  place patties in a skillet with 2 tablespoons water. Cover and cook over medium for 5- 6 minutes until heated through.

Ingredients
