Grilled Pork Chops are on the menu at least once a week at our house, we love Brown Sugar Pork Chops and these Peach BBQ Pork Chops for a quick and easy dinner for any night of the week.
Change up the dinner routine with these tender, juicy and flavorful pork chops. The sauce comes together in about 10 minutes with just a few ingredients and it pairs perfectly with the smoky grilled pork chops.
Ingredients for Honey Garlic Pork Chops
- Pork Chops ~ We used thick cut boneless pork chops
- Olive Oil ~ A light coating helps create a nice sear on the pork.
- Kosher Salt ~ Seasons the pork.
- Coarse Ground Pepper ~ Adds a bit of peppery heat.
- Butter ~ Salted butter for sautéing garlic.
- Garlic ~ Fresh minced garlic.
- Honey ~ Local honey if you can get it works great.
- Brown Sugar ~ Sweetens and thickens the sauce.
- Apple Cider Vinegar ~ Adds tangy flavor and balances out the sweetness.
- Smoked Paprika ~ Adds smokiness, flavor and color to the sauce.
- Ground Chili Flakes ~ Or cayenne for a spicy kick.
How to Grill Honey Garlic Pork Chops
Make the Sauce:
- Sauté minced garlic in butter over low heat for about 3 minutes, stirring often.
- Add honey, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, salt and ground chili flakes. Continue to cook for 5 minutes, stirring often. Divide the sauce in half, use half for grilling and the other half for serving.
For the Pork Chops:
- Pat pork chops dry with paper towels.
- Drizzle with olive oil, spreading over both sides.
- Season with kosher salt and coarse pepper.
- Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory or pecan for smoke flavor.
- Cook pork chops over indirect fire with the grill closed 5 minutes.
- Brush with honey garlic sauce and flip the pork chops. Brush the other sides with sauce and continue to cook with the grill closed another 7- 10 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 145° using a digital meat thermometer.
- Remove pork chops to a serving platter and rest 5 minutes before serving.
- Reheat remaining sauce if needed and serve over pork chops.
- Serve Honey Garlic Pork Chops with rice pilaf and grilled garlic bread for a complete meal.
How to Store and Reheat
- Store leftover pork chops wrapped in plastic wrap or aluminum foil in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
- Store honey garlic sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 weeks.
- Reheat pork chops, sliced in a skillet with honey garlic sauce over medium heat, stirring until heated through.

- 1 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
