Pizza Burger Sliders are a fast and easy dinner on the grill. Great for any night of the week or serve it up for the ultimate game day fare!
Grilled Burgers are one of the meals that we never get tired of. Bacon Cheeseburgers, Brisket Burgers and Mozzarella Burgers are a few of our favorites when the burger craving strikes.
Ingredients for Pizza Burger Sliders:
- Ground Beef ~ We used 80/20 for this recipe
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- Tomato Sauce
- Brown Sugar
- Smoked Paprika
- Dried Thyme
- Dried Basil
- Dried Oregano
- Dried Marjoram
- Ground Rosemary
- Granulated Garlic
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Hawaiian Rolls
- Butter
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Dijon Mustard
- Onion Flakes
Don't let the ingredients list scare you off. This includes lots of herbs and spices to make homemade pizza sauce. You can use store bought pizza sauce if you need a shortcut. The pizza sauce is no-cook and comes together in 5 minutes.

How to Grill Pizza Burger Sliders:
- Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory or pecan for smoke flavor.
- Divide ground beef into 12 patties. We used a biscuit cutter to shape them.
- Season burger patties with salt and pepper.
- Grill burgers over indirect fire for about 5 minutes with the grill closed.
- Flip the burgers and continue to cook another 5- 8 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165° using a digital meat thermometer.
- Remove burgers to a sheet pan.
- To make pizza sauce, add tomato sauce to a small bowl. Mix in brown sugar, salt, pepper and the herbs.
- Make the butter sauce in a small skillet. Add butter, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, onion flakes, granulated garlic and pepper. Cook over low heat until butter is melted, whisk mixture together and remove from heat.
- Slice rolls in half and place on a foil line grill pan.
- Brush the bottom of the rolls with butter mixture.
Top with burger patties.
- Spoon pizza sauce over burgers.
- Top with shredded mozzarella.
- Add top buns.
- Brush or spoon remaining butter mixture over the tops of the sliders.
- Return to the grill for about 10 minutes with the grill lid closed or until buns are toasted and cheese is melted.
- This step can also be done in a 375° oven for about 10 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
How to Store and Reheat:
Store sliders in a zip top baggie or air tight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Reheat in a 350° oven for about 10 minutes or in an air fryer at 350° for about 5- 7 minutes. Separate the top buns for best results reheating.

- 1 ¼ pounds ground beef
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
for the pizza sauce:
- ¾ cup tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ½ teaspoon ground rosemary
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
for the sliders
- 12 Hawaiian Rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
for the butter sauce
- ½ cup salted butter
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon onion flakes
- ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
- ½ teaspoon pepper
Instructions

- For pizza sauce, add tomato sauce to a small bowl with brown sugar, 1 teaspoon marjoram, ½ teaspoon each of thyme, oregano, basil, rosemary, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Make the butter sauce in a small skillet. Add butter, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, onion flakes, granulated garlic and pepper. Cook over low heat until butter is melted, whisk mixture together and remove from heat.
- Slice rolls in half and place on a foil line grill pan.
