Anytime we can make the entire meal on the grill, I’m happy. So much less cleanup and no need to heat up the kitchen. This garlic butter corn on the cob is tender, flavorful and so tasty!

How to Grill Corn on the Cob:

Garlic butter with salt and pepper in a small skillet

  • Make garlic butter by melting butter in a small skillet with a grated garlic clove, salt and pepper. Or mix garlic, salt and pepper with softened butter.

  • Place a large piece of foil (I used heavy duty foil) on a small pan. 
  • Remove husks and silks from corn.

  • Roll corn on the cob in garlic butter, coating all sides or if using softened butter, just spread butter over corn.

  • Place on foil. Pour any remaining butter over corn.

  • Wrap foil into a sealed packet. 
  • Place foil packet over indirect heat on about a 300° fire. 
  • Cook for 20-25 minutes. 
  • Remove from grill and leave foil sealed until ready to serve.

Grilled Corn on the Cob

Ingredients

  • 5 ears of corn
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Remove husks and silks from corn.
  2. Layer heavy foil on a small pan, big enough to make a packet around the corn.
  3. Place butter in a small skillet and place over medium heat. Grate garlic clove into butter. Add salt and pepper, stir to combine and cook 5 minutes. Alternately, mix garlic, salt and pepper with softened butter.
  4. Roll corn in garlic butter and place in foil or spread with garlic butter.
  5. Pour any remaining butter over corn.
  6. Fold foil around corn into a sealed packet.
  7. Place corn over indirect heat on about a 300° fire.
  8. Cook corn 20- 25 minutes.
  9. Remove from grill and leave packet sealed until ready to serve.
  10. Roll corn in butter from the foil before serving.
