How to Grill Lemon Garlic Pork Chops:

Grilling boneless pork chops

  • Prepare a grill fire to about 300° with hickory wood for smoke flavor. 
  • Remove pork chops from packaging and season with salt and pepper if desired. 
  • Cook pork chops over indirect fire for 10 minutes with the grill closed.

  • Turn pork chops and continue to cook until internal temperature reaches 145° with a digital thermometer

  • Remove from grill and cover loosely with foil to rest while you make the lemon garlic sauce. 

Lemon Garlic Butter for pork chops

  • Add butter to a small skillet with minced garlic, cook over low heat for 2- 3 minutes. Remove from heat and zest a whole lemon into the garlic butter. 
  • Slice the lemon in half and squeeze juice from half of the lemon into the garlic butter, about 1 tablespoon. 
  • Whisk in dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and chili flakes.

  • Return to the burner and cook 2 minutes.

  • Brush over both sides of pork chops.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices if desired. 
  • Serve immediately.

How to Store and Reheat:

Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days. 

To reheat, slice pork chops and add to a skillet with 2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 4 – 6 minutes, stirring often. 

We had one pork chop leftover and used to make this Creamy Lemon Garlic Spaghetti. It was so good that we made it again the next day!

Ingredients

  • 5 boneless pork chops
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice plus zest from whole lemon
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • pinch of chili flakes
  • fresh lemon slices and fresh parsley for garnish, optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare a grill fire to 300° with oak or hickory wood for smoke flavor.
  2. Cook pork chops over indirect heat with the lid closed for 10 minutes. Flip pork chops and cook until internal temperature reaches 145° with a digital thermometer.
  3. Remove pork chops from the grill and cover with foil while you prepare the sauce.
  4. Melt butter in a sauce pan with minced garlic and cook over low heat about 3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, add lemon zest, lemon juice, honey, dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and chili flakes.
  6. Return to burner and cook for 2- 3 minutes.
  7. Brush over both sides of pork chops.
  8. Garnish with lemon slices and chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days. Reheat sliced pork chops over medium heat in a covered skillet with 2 tablespoons of butter about 4 - 6 minutes.
