How to Grill Lemon Garlic Pork Chops:

Grilling boneless pork chops

  • Prepare a grill fire to about 300° with hickory wood for smoke flavor. 
  • Remove pork chops from packaging and season with salt and pepper if desired. 
  • Cook pork chops over indirect fire for 10 minutes with the grill closed.

  • Turn pork chops and continue to cook until internal temperature reaches 145° with a digital thermometer

  • Remove from grill and cover loosely with foil to rest while you make the lemon garlic sauce. 

Lemon Garlic Butter for pork chops

  • Add butter to a small skillet with minced garlic, cook over low heat for 2- 3 minutes. Remove from heat and zest a whole lemon into the garlic butter. 
  • Slice the lemon in half and squeeze juice from half of the lemon into the garlic butter, about 1 tablespoon. 
  • Whisk in dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and chili flakes.

  • Return to the burner and cook 2 minutes.

  • Brush over both sides of pork chops.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices if desired. 
  • Serve immediately.

How to Store and Reheat:

Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days. 

To reheat, slice pork chops and add to a skillet with 2 tablespoons of butter or olive oil. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 4 – 6 minutes, stirring often.

Ingredients

  • 5 boneless pork chops
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice plus zest from whole lemon
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 large garlic cloves minced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • pinch of chili flakes
  • fresh lemon slices and fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to 300° with oak or hickory wood for smoke flavor.
  • Cook pork chops over indirect heat with the lid closed for 10 minutes. Flip pork chops and cook until internal temperature reaches 145° with a digital thermometer.
  • Remove pork chops from the grill and cover with foil while you prepare the sauce.
  • Melt butter in a sauce pan with minced garlic and cook over low heat about 3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, add lemon zest, lemon juice, honey, dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and chili flakes.
  • Return to burner and cook for 2- 3 minutes.
  • Brush over both sides of pork chops.
  • Garnish with lemon slices and chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days. Reheat sliced pork chops over medium heat in a covered skillet with 2 tablespoons of butter about 4 - 6 minutes.
