Leftover smoked brisket is one of the best things to have on hand for getting dinner on the table in a hurry.

We often enjoy leftover brisket tacos, brisket stuffed poblano peppers and even brisket stuffed onions. Most often we add a little homemade bbq sauce and make sandwiches.

Po Boy sandwiches are a Louisiana classic. They are typically made with thin sliced meat or seafood and topped with lettuce and tomato. We love shrimp po boys and we’ve made them with catfish too but I have to say the brisket po boy is definitely my favorite!

  2. Fill with bbq brisket, coleslaw and sliced tomatoes.
  3. Drizzle with additional bbq sauce if desired.

Smoked brisket is plenty flavorful on it’s own and we don’t always use barbecue sauce but a Memphis style smoked brisket sandwich, topped with creamy coleslaw is just about the best thing you can eat.

Be sure to check out our Smoked Brisket and Brown Sugar Dry Rub Brisket recipes that show you how to make the absolute most tender, smoked brisket right on your own smoker or grill.

If you aren’t into smoking your own brisket, pick some up from your favorite bbq and get a few extra pounds to enjoy throughout the week.

How much barbecue sauce for making barbecue brisket?

Figure about 1/2 cup of barbecue sauce per pound of brisket to make bbq brisket sandwiches. Homemade BBQ Sauce is our favorite or use your favorite brand to make these sandwiches.
