Ingredients for Asian Beef

  • Sirloin Steak- Use flank steak or any cut of beef you have on hand.
  • Soy Sauce – We use light soy sauce but dark soy sauce works well too.
  • Peanut Butter
  • Brown Sugar
  • Garlic
  • Rice Vinegar
  • Sesame Oil
  • Hot Sauce
  • Cilantro
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Cooked White Rice
  • Steamed Broccoli & Carrots

Step-By-Step Directions for Grilled Asian Beef

  1. Make the Marinade: Add soy sauce, peanut butter, brown sugar, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil and hot sauce to a sauce pan. Cook over medium heat until sauce comes to a bubble, whisking occasionally. Set aside to cool.

  1. Marinate the Steak: Cut steak into thin slices, place in a zip top bag and pour half of the sauce over the steak. Press air out of the bag and seal. Turn the bag over several times until steak is well coated. Refrigerate 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the Grill: Build a grill fire to 350° using hickory for smoke flavor. Place a griddle pan onto the grill.

  1. Cook the Steak: Pour steak and marinade onto the griddle pan. Spread into an even layer, cooking with the grill closed about 5 minutes.

  1. Stir steak and continue to cook until steak reaches 145° using a digital meat thermometer.

  1. Remove from grill and garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds.

  1. Serving: Serve with cooked rice and steamed vegetables, drizzle with sauce if desired.

Ingredients
