Ingredients Needed
- Brown Sugar ~ Use dark or light, whatever you have on hand.
- Granulated Garlic
- Granulated Onion
- Chili Powder
- Smoked Paprika
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- Ground Cinnamon - It may sound out of the ordinary but it just adds a depth of warm flavor to the rub. It's compliments the other spices without being overwhelming.
Directions for Homemade Rub
Add all of the ingredients to a bow and whisk together until well blended.
Store in an airtight container in the pantry up to 3 months, stir with a fork before using, the brown sugar will clump.

For a pork butt, we used the entire batch. For pork chops or chicken, use ½ tablespoon per pork chop or piece of chicken.

- 1 cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon granulated onion
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon chili powder

Instructions
