Peach BBQ Baked Beans ~ Easy Side Dish Recipe

Baked beans are the classic side dish for any backyard cookout and this recipe is sure to be a crowd favorite. This recipe has even converted bean haters to baked bean fans.

  • Bacon
  • Bell Peppers
  • Yellow Onions
  • Canned Navy Beans
  • Peach BBQ Sauce
  • Worcestershire Sauce

How to Make Peach BBQ Baked Beans:

  • Rinse and drain the beans and set aside.
  • Dice Bell Peppers and onions.
  • Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until it just starts to crisp. Remove to a paper towel lined plate to drain and cool. 
  • When the bacon is cooled, dice it on a cutting board. Set aside.

  • Add the diced peppers and onions to the bacon grease and cook over medium heat, stirring often. 
  • When vegetables are softened and start to caramelize, add the peach bbq sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.
  • Add the beans, mixing well.

  • Sprinkle cooked bacon over the top of the beans.
  • Bake or grill, uncovered for 25- 30 minutes or until beans are bubbling around the edges.

  • Remove from oven and serve immediately.

How to Store and Reheat:

  • Store leftover beans in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
  • Reheat beans in a skillet over medium heat, stirring often until heated through.

Ingredients

  • 3 15 ounce cans Navy Beans
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 2 cups diced bell peppers
  • 2 cups diced yellow onion
  • 12 ounces peach bbq sauce recipe below
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven or grill to 375°.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger or 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 cup peach preserves
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons brown mustard
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon chili flakes

Instructions

  • In a medium size sauce pan, add olive oil, garlic and ginger. Cook over medium heat about 3 minutes, stirring often.
  • Whisk in orange juice, peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, brown mustard, smoked paprika, salt and chili flakes.
  • Bring mixture to a boil, whisking often.
  • Lower to simmer and cook 10 minutes, whisking often, scraping sides and bottom of the pan.
  • Remove from heat and cool slightly before refrigerating.
