How to Grill Peach BBQ Chicken Tenders:

Grill thermometer 300°

  • Prepare a grill fire to 300° with hickory or oak adding the best smoke flavor.

  • Remove chicken tenders from packaging, pat dry with paper towels and place on a baking sheet. 
  • Place chicken tenders over indirect fire and cook with the lid closed for about 8 minutes. 
  • Turn chicken tenders and coat in peach bbq sauce on both sides. 
  • Continue to cook with the lid closed until internal temperature reaches 165° with a  digital thermometer..

  • Remove chicken to a sheet pan and serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS FOR PEACH BBQ SAUCE:

  • Olive Oil
  • Fresh Garlic & Ginger
  • Orange Juice
  • Peach Preserves
  • Brown Sugar
  • Brown Mustard
  • Smoked Paprika, Kosher Salt, Chili Flakes

How to Store and Reheat:

  • Leftover grilled chicken tenders can be stored in an airtight container or wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator up to 4 days. 
  • To reheat, place in a skillet with about 2 tablespoons of water and 2 tablespoons of peach bbq sauce. Cover and cook over medium heat about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

We almost always grill a double batch of whatever we are having for dinner so that we can have leftovers for lunch or to make an easy dinner later in the week. This recipe is for 3 pounds of chicken tenders and can easily be adjusted to your family’s needs.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger or 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 cup peach preserves
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons brown mustard
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon chili flakes

Instructions

  • In a medium size sauce pan, add olive oil, garlic and ginger. Cook over medium heat about 3 minutes, stirring often.
  • Whisk in orange juice, peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, brown mustard, smoked paprika, salt and chili flakes.
  • Bring mixture to a boil, whisking often.
  • Lower to simmer and cook 10 minutes, whisking often, scraping sides and bottom of the pan.
  • Remove from heat and cool slightly before refrigerating.
