Hot Ham and Cheese
Hot Ham and Cheese sandwiches are a quick and easy meal for lunch or dinner. Grilled ham makes a tasty sandwich for everyone to add their favorite toppings.
Our Hot Ham and Cheese is made with grilled ham, Swiss cheese and our delicious Honey Mustard Sauce. This is no ordinary sandwich! We also love smoked bologna for quick and easy fried bologna sandwiches.
Hot Ham and Cheese ~ Quick and Easy Meal
Ingredients for Hot Ham and Cheese:
- Sliced Ham
- Swiss Cheese
- Onion Buns
- Honey Mustard Sauce
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Red Onion
How to Make Hot Ham and Cheese:
- Cut buns in half and place on a sheet pan. Toast for 2 minutes under the broiler.
- Layer ham on the top side of the buns and cheese slices on the bottom side of the buns. Return to the broiler until cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
- Layer buns with lettuce, tomato and red onion, ham and drizzle with honey mustard sauce. Add the top buns and serve immediately.

How to Store and Reheat:
- If making ahead, don’t add the vegetables or the sauce. Wrap toasted sandwiches in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
- Reheat sandwiches wrapped in foil in a 350° oven for 10 minutes or until heated through. Add toppings and serve.

Hot Ham and Cheese
Ingredients
- 1 pound sliced grilled ham
- 4 onion buns
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- ¼ cup Honey Mustard Sauce
- Lettuce
- Tomato Slices
- Red Onion Slices
Instructions
- Slice onion buns in half and place on a rimmed baking sheet, cut side up. Toast under the broiler for about 2 minutes.
- Remove from oven and layer Swiss cheese slices over the bottom sides of the buns and ham slices over the top sides of the buns. Return to the broiler for about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and ham is warmed.
- Remove from oven and layer buns with lettuce, tomato, onion and ham. Drizzle with honey mustard sauce and add the top bun.
- Serve immediately.
