- Olive Oil
- Out Grilling SPG Seasoning – or your favorite all purpose salt, pepper, garlic seasoning.
- Out Grilling Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce or try our Dr Pepper Jalapeno BBQ Sauce.
How to Grill BBQ Steak Skewers

- Soak the Skewers – If using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Prep the Steak & Onions – Cut the NY Strip Steaks into 1 to 1/2 inch cubes. Slice the red onions into chunks and separate into petals.

- Season & Skewer – Thread steak cubes and onions onto wooden skewers. Drizzle skewers with olive oil, then season generously with Out Grilling SPG Seasoning.

- Grill Over Medium Heat – Prepare a grill fire to 325-350°F. Place skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, turning to get even char marks.
- Brush with BBQ Sauce – During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the skewers with Out Grilling Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce and let it caramelize.

- Serve & Enjoy – Remove from the grill and let the kebabs rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

- 4 NY Strip Steaks
- 1 red onion large
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons Out Grilling SPG Seasoning or favorite grill seasoning
- ⅓ cup Out Grilling Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce
Instructions
- Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory or oak chunks for extra smoke flavor.
- Soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Cut the NY Strip Steaks into 1 to 1/2 inch cubes. Slice the red onions into chunks and separate into petals.
- Thread steak cubes and onions onto wooden skewers. Drizzle skewers with olive oil, then season generously with Out Grilling SPG Seasoning.
- Place skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, turning to get even char marks.
- During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the skewers with Out Grilling Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce and let it caramelize. Use a digital meat thermometer to cook steak to desired doneness. We cooked ours to about 135°.
- Remove from the grill and let the kebabs rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
