Ingredients for Parmesan Crusted Beef Tenderloin:
- Beef Tenderloin
- Butter
- Parmesan Cheese
- Onion Flakes
- Fresh Rosemary
- Granulated Garlic
- Dried Thyme
- Brown Sugar
- Kosher Salt
- Fresh Ground Pepper
How to Grill Parmesan Crusted Beef Tenderloin:
- If you are trimming your own tenderloin, remove the silver skin.
- Cut the beef into 2 pieces.
- Brush the tenderloins with melted butter. This will help the parmesan mixture to adhere to the beef.
- In a bowl combine the Parmesan cheese, herbs, spices, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Sprinkle the parmesan mixture over the top of the tenderloin in a thick layer. Pat the parmesan mixture into the beef.
- Set aside while you prepare a grill fire to 350° with hickory or pecan for smoke flavor.
- Grill tenderloin over indirect fire with the grill closed for about 25- 30 minutes.
- Check with a digital thermometer and continue to cook until desired doneness is reached about 45 minutes total for rare, about 1 hour for medium rare.
- Remove from grill to a cutting board and allow to rest about 15 minutes before serving.
- Slice and serve immediately.
TEMPERATURES FOR BEEF TENDERLOIN:
- Rare: 120- 125°
- Medium Rare: 130°
- Medium: 145°
How to Store and Reheat:
- Store leftover beef tenderloin in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
- Slice and reheat in a skillet with melted butter over medium heat. Cook about 1- 2 minutes per side until heated through.
