Grilled Mushroom Swiss Burgers are a weeknight favorite that the entire family can agree on. Juicy ground beef burgers topped with melted Swiss and sautéed mushrooms that is guaranteed to beat any drive-thru burger.

Ingredients for Grilled Mushroom Swiss Burgers:
- Ground Beef ~ We used 80/20
- Steak Rub
- Swiss Cheese Slices
- Butter
- Mushrooms ~ Baby Bellas or White Button
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- Buns
- Condiments: Mayonnaise, Red Onion Slices, Pickles
How to Grill Mushroom Swiss Burgers:
Divide ground beef into ¼ pound patties and smash into thin patties. Season the patties with steak rub or your favorite seasoning.
Parchment paper in between will make them easy to put onto the grill.
- Slice mushrooms and sauté in butter. Season with salt and pepper, stir often until golden brown.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Grill burgers over direct fire for about 4 minutes.
- Flip the burgers and continue cooking until burgers reach 160° using a digital meat thermometer.
- Add the slices of Swiss cheese, close the grill for 2- 3 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Remove from grill.
- Make the burgers with burger buns topped with a Swiss burger patty, top with mushrooms and add your favorite condiments.
How to Store and Reheat Grilled Burger Patties:
- Store leftover burger patties in a zip top bag or air tight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place burger patties in a skillet with a few tablespoons of water. Cover the skillet and cook over medium heat for 4- 5 minutes until heated through.

Ingredients
- 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
- 2 tablespoons Steak Rub
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 ounces mushrooms, baby bellas or white
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- Condiments: mayonnaise, pickles, red onion slices
Instructions
- Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory or pecan for smoke flavor.
- Make the burger patties into ¼ pound, thin patties. Season with steak rub on both sides.
- Slice the mushrooms and saute in a skillet over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper, stir occasionally until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Cook burger patties over direct fire for 4 minutes.
- Flip the burgers and continue to cook until burgers reach 160° using a digital meat thermometer.
- Add the Swiss cheese to the burger patties. Close the grill and cook for 2- 3 minutes until cheese is melted. Remove from grill.
- Make the burgers by topping the buns with Swiss burgers, top with sliced mushrooms and your favorite condiments.
