Serve chicken tenders with green beans and mushrooms or onions, farro or grilled vegetable rice pilaf. Grilled garlic bread is also a great addition for a balanced meal that you can feel good about.

Ingredients Needed for Grilled Chicken Tenders

  • Chicken Tenders: This recipe works with any cut of boneless chicken, chicken thighs are great too.
  • Olive Oil: This will help the rub stick to the chicken and also helps keep the chicken from drying out.
  • Garlic and Onion Grilling Rub: This is one of my favorite dry rub seasonings and it is the perfect compliment to chicken. It’s made with pantry ingredients that you probably have on hand.

Recipe Notes and Tips

  • Storage: Store leftover chicken tenders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
  • Reheat: Cook chicken in a skillet lightly coated with olive oil, cover the skillet, cooking over medium heat for a few minutes. Flip the chicken and continue to cook another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • Juicy Chicken Tenders: Chicken tenders will dry out quickly, cooking them at a lower temperature will help them to stay juicy. Using a digital meat thermometer is essential and will keep you from over cooking them.
