What are Pork Steaks?

Pork Steaks are a cut from the pork shoulder or pork butt. They are sometimes called blade steaks if they have a bone in the center. We actually cut these pork steaks from the huge pork shoulder that we smoked and used for making homemade andouille sausage.

What is the difference in pork chops and pork steaks?

Pork chops are cut from the loin and pork steaks are cut from the pork butt – the shoulder. Both cuts are great for grilling. Pork steaks are often more budget friendly.
