It’s so simple to create spice mixes for your grilling favorites and the best way to control the amount of salt added in. This simple garlic and herb rub is one of my favorite all purpose seasonings. It’s great on literally everything.

Ingredients for Garlic and Herb Rub:

How to Make Garlic and Herb Rub:

In a bowl, add brown sugar, garlic, onion powder, rosemary, thyme, basil, smoked paprika, salt, pepper and mustard.

Mix with a fork, breaking up any brown sugar clumps.

Store in an airtight container up to 3 months.

Stir before using, brown sugar may clump but will break up easily.

This is a great all-purpose rub to season pork chops, chicken, beef or vegetables.

TIPS FOR USING DRY RUB SEASONING FOR GRILLING:

  • Pat chicken, pork or beef dry with paper towels.
  • Coat with olive oil with a brush or an Oil Sprayer.
  • Sprinkle with rub and press into the meat before grilling.
  • Allow to rest about 30 minutes before grilling
