Homemade pizza is actually pretty simple to make and a great way to enjoy pretty much any meat that you have grilled. Finish off pizza night with an easy Apple Pie Pizza on the grill!
Ingredients for Brisket Pizza:
- Pizza Dough ~ Use our easy pizza dough recipe or store bought.
- Pizza Sauce ~ We are making our own with tomato sauce, olive oil, onions, bell peppers, carrot, brown sugar, garlic and Italian Spices.
- Smoked Brisket ~ Cooking a big brisket over the weekend provides quite a few meals for the week and if you are tired of sandwiches, add it to pizza!
- Mozzarella Cheese ~ Mozzarella is the classic pizza cheese but any Italian blend will be tasty.
- Green Onions ~ We are just using the green tops for this since the sauce has onions too. They add color and a burst of fresh flavor.
- Sliced Tomatoes ~ Fresh tomatoes pick up a hint of smoky flavor on top of the pizza and make this pizza a show-stopper. We just used some greenhouse tomatoes from the grocery store for this but as soon as summer rolls around, our garden fresh Roma tomatoes are going to be the answer.
- Cornmeal ~ To sprinkle on the pizza peel and pizza stone.
