Ingredients for Bacon Smash Burgers

For the Smash Burger Sauce

  • Mayonnaise
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Sweet pickles (diced)
  • Granulated garlic
  • Granulated onion
  • Smoked paprika
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Make the smash burger sauce – In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, sweet pickles, granulated garlic, granulated onion, smoked paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  1. Form Burgers – Divide the ground beef into ¼ pound patties.
  2. Cook the bacon – Cook bacon on the Blackstone over medium heat or bake the bacon until crispy. Set aside on paper towels to drain.
  3. Cook the burgers – Place the beef patties on the hot surface, season with Out Grilling SPG. Smash flat with a spatula or burger press. Cook 2-3 minutes until the edges crisp up.
  4. Flip and cheese it – Flip the patties, top with American cheese, and cook another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts and the burgers hit 165°F internal temp.

Build the burgers – Toast the buns if you like. Spread smash burger sauce on both sides. Add lettuce, red onion, a cheesy patty or two, bacon slices and top bun.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef use ground brisket for extra flavor
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 2 tablespoons Out Grilling SPG Seasoning or favorite grill seasoning
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • lettuce
  • ¼ red onion sliced
  • 4 burger buns

Burger Sauce

  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • cup diced sweet pickles or pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon granulated onion
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon fine ground pepper

Instructions

  • Divide the ground beef into ¼ pound patties.
  • Cook bacon on the Blackstone over medium heat or bake the bacon until crispy. Set aside on paper towels to drain.
