Peach Cobbler Dump Cake

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake is a quick and easy dessert that can be made on the grill for the perfect ending to any family meal. Made easily with fresh or canned peaches and a box cake mix. 

Dessert on the grill is perfect for summer time when you don’t want to heat up the house but would still love that sweet finish after dinner. Just pop this skillet cobbler onto the grill after you pull your steaks, pork chops or burgers and it’s ready to eat by the time you are ready for dessert.

Ingredients for Peach Cobbler Dump Cake:

  • Canned Peaches ~ Sliced in Heavy Syrup
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Yellow Cake Mix
  • Butter
  • Vanilla Ice Cream for Serving

How to Grill Peach Cobbler Dump Cake:

  • Pour peaches with syrup into a large cast iron skillet.

  • Sprinkle cinnamon over the top.

  • Top the peaches with the dry cake mix, spreading into an even layer.

  • Drizzle with melted butter, covering the entire surface.

  • Cook over indirect grill fire at about 350° for 25- 30 minutes with the grill lid closed.

  • Cobbler will be bubbly around the edges and topping will be lightly browned.

  • Remove from grill and cool 10 minutes before serving.

  • Top with vanilla ice cream if desired. 
  • Peach Cobbler Dump Cake can be served warm or at room temperature. 

USING FRESH PEACHES:

Fresh peaches will also work for this recipe. Use about 6- 8 fresh peaches. Peel and toss with about ½ cup of sugar. Proceed with the same directions. Peach pie filling will also work in this recipe.

How to Store:

  • Store leftover cobbler at room temperature up to 1 day or in the refrigerator up to 3 days. 
  • Reheat in the microwave before serving if desired.

Grilled Peach Cobbler is so simple to make on the grill and will pick up just a hint of the smoky grill flavor, especially if you have grilled with wood chunks. It adds a unique twist to the classic dessert and was a huge hit with our entire family.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (29 ounces) sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 box (15 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • vanilla ice cream for serving, optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare a grill fire to about 350°.
  2. Pour peaches with juice into a 10 inch cast iron skillet.
  3. Sprinkle cinnamon over peaches.
  4. Top with dry cake mix, spreading into an even layer.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix, covering the entire surface, but do not mix.
  6. Cook over indirect fire with the grill closed for about 25- 30 minutes or until edges are bubbly and topping is golden brown.
  7. Remove from grill and cool 10 minutes before serving.
  8. Top with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes
