Ingredients Needed

  • Catfish Fillets
  • Butter
  • Minced Garlic
  • Jalapeno
  • Honey
  • Soy Sauce
  • Malt Vinegar
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Fresh Rosemary
  • Kosher Salt

Step By Step Directions

Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and diced jalapeño. Cook, stirring often, about 2 minutes.

Remove from heat. Stir in honey, soy sauce, malt vinegar, smoked paprika, rosemary and kosher salt. Cool, to room temperature.

Place the catfish in a zip top bag and pour half of the sauce over the catfish. Seal the bag and turn it over a few times to coat the fish. Place in the refrigerator until ready to grill.

Prepare a grill fire to 350° using pecan or hickory for additional smoke flavor.

Place catfish onto the grill over indirect heat. Close the grill, cooking for 5 minutes.

Brush catfish with remaining sauce and continue cooking until fish reaches 145° using a digital meat thermometer.

How to Store and Reheat

Store leftover fish in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 2 days.

Reheat in a skillet lightly coated with butter over medium heat. Stir occasionally until heated through.
