Ingredients for Cranberry Orange Glazed Ham

  • Half Ham – We used a butt portion ham, a shank ham or spiral sliced ham will work also.
  • Cranberry Sauce: We use both Whole Cranberry Sauce and Jellied Cranberry sauce. If you don’t have both, either will work.
  • Orange Marmalade: The sweet and tangy orange flavor compliments the cranberry flavor perfectly.
  • Brown Sugar: Adds the right amount of sweetness and brings out the flavor of the smoky ham.
  • Worcestershire Sauce: Adds a depth of savory flavor to the glaze.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: Just a touch of acidity to balance the sweet flavors.
  • Spicy Brown Mustard: Substitute dijon if desired, adds delicious flavor.
  • Granulated Garlic: Savory flavor that goes well with pork.
  • Onion Powder: More savory flavor.
  • Kosher Salt: Just a little salt goes into the glaze since ham is usually on the salty side.
  • Black Pepper: Coarse black pepper adds just the right amount of heat.
  • Ground Cinnamon: A little cinnamon adds the best flavor to any ham glaze, it’s just in the background for a flavor boost that you can’t quite put your finger on.
