Grilled salmon is a favorite dinner for busy weeknights and it’s delicious enough for entertaining. Serve this hot honey salmon with grilled vegetable rice pilaf, coleslaw or grilled vegetable kabobs.

Ingredients for Hot Honey Grilled Salmon

  • Honey
  • Peach Preserves – optional but adds a bit of fruity flavor that compliments the honey.
  • Chili Flakes
  • Granulated Garlic
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Salmon
  • Olive Oil
  • Out Grilling SPG Seasoning – Or our Best Dry Rub

Step By Step Directions for Hot Honey Grilled Salmon Recipe

  1. Make the Hot Honey: In a saucepan, combine honey, peach preserves, chili flakes and granulated garlic. Cook over low heat just until heated through, do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in the apple cider vinegar.

  1. Pour into a jar, cover and set aside until ready to use.

  1. Prep the Salmon: Drizzle salmon with olive oil and sprinkle with dry rub.
  2. Prepare the Grill Fire: Use hickory or oak for smoke flavor, getting the grill up to about 300°.

  1. Grill the Salmon: Place salmon, skin-side down onto the grill. Close the grill and cook for about 10 minutes.

  1. Glaze the Salmon: Brush with hot honey in a thick layer.

  1. Close the grill and continue to cook about 5- 10 minutes or until salmon reaches about 130°.

  1. Remove from grill and allow to rest 10 minutes before serving

  • Storage: Leftover salmon can be store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days.
  • Reheat: Place salmon in a skillet lightly covered in olive oil over low heat, stirring until heated through.
