Hot Honey Grilled Salmon

Hot Honey Grilled Salmon is the perfect sweet heat glaze for a delicious dinner that is quick and easy for any night of the week.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon peach preserves
  • ½ tablespoon chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Salmon Fillet
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Out Grilling SPG Seasoning or Dry Rub Seasoning

Instructions

  • Make the Hot Honey: In a saucepan, combine honey, peach preserves, chili flakes and granulated garlic. Cook over low heat just until heated through, do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in the apple cider vinegar. Pour into a jar, cover and set aside until ready to use.
  • Prep the Salmon: Drizzle salmon with olive oil and sprinkle with dry rub.
  • Prepare the Grill Fire: Use hickory or oak for smoke flavor, getting the grill up to about 300°.
  • Place salmon, skin-side down onto the grill. Close the grill and cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Brush with hot honey in a thick layer.
  • Close the grill and continue to cook about 5- 10 minutes or until salmon reaches about 130°.

Notes

  • Storage: Leftover salmon can be store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Store leftover hot honey at room temperature in an airtight container up to 3 months. 
  • Reheat: Place salmon in a skillet lightly covered in olive oil over low heat, stirring until heated through.
