Grilled Ribeye Steaks are at the top of the list for our favorite meals on the grill. Add Garlic Butter Baked Potatoes and some grilled ranch zucchini for a delicious dinner.

Ingredients Needed

  • Steaks: Ribeye, T-Bone, Strip Steaks or Sirloin
  • Salted Butter
  • Minced Garlic
  • Diced Onion
  • Fresh Rosemary, minced
  • Fresh Thyme, chopped
  • Kosher Salt
  • Fresh Ground Pepper

Step By Step Directions

Remove steaks from packaging and pat dry with paper towels.

Prepare a grill fire with hickory or oak for smoke flavor.

Collage making garlic and onion butter.

Melt butter in a skillet.

Add garlic, onions, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.

Cook for 3- 5 minutes over low heat, stirring often.

Remove from heat.

Collage grilling steaks with garlic butter.

Place steaks on the grill. Brush with garlic and onion butter and close the lid for 5 minutes.

Flip the steaks. Brush with remaining butter. Close the lid and continue to cook another 3-5 minutes or until steaks reach desired doneness using a digital meat thermometer. We pulled ours at 130°.

Rest steaks for 5 minutes before slicing.

Internal Temperature for Grilled Steak

  • Rare:  130°
  • Medium Rare: 140°
  • Medium: 155°
  • Well Done: 165°

How to Store and Reheat

Store leftover steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.

Reheat sliced steak in a skillet with butter over medium heat, stir occasionally until heated through.

Ingredients

  • 6 Steaks: Ribeye Strip Steaks, T-Bones or Sirloin
  • ½ cup salted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory or oak for smoke flavor.
  • Pat steaks dry with paper towels.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add garlic, onion, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally about 3- 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Place steaks onto the hot grill. Brush with garlic and onion butter. Close the lid and cook 5 minutes.
  • Flip the steaks, brushing with remaining butter. Close the lid and cook another 3- 5 minutes or until desired doneness is reached using a digital meat thermometer.
  • Remove steaks from the grill and rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
