We’ve been on a Mexican kick lately with Grilled Steak Tacos and Grilled Chicken Enchiladas and these easy chicken tacos had everyone coming back for seconds.
Grilled Chicken Tacos ~ Easy Weeknight Meal
If you would like to change up the dinner routine, add these easy chicken tacos to the grilling menu. Chicken tenders cook up really quick and the smoky chicken will take taco night to the next level of deliciousness.
Ingredients for Chicken Tacos:
For the Chicken:
- Chicken Tenders
- Olive Oil
- Taco Seasoning
For the Tacos:
- Flour Tortillas or Taco Shells
- Shredded Lettuce
- Shredded Cheese
- Diced Tomatoes
- Diced Red Onions
- Cilantro
- Sour Cream
- Chunky Salsa
- Guacamole
- Limes

How to Grill Chicken Tacos:
- Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory or pecan for smoke flavor.
- Coat chicken tenders with olive oil.
- Sprinkle with taco seasoning over all sides.
- Place chicken over indirect fire and cook with the grill lid closed for about 7 – 10 minutes.
- Flip the chicken and continue to cook another 5- 10 minutes, using a digital thermometer, cooking to 165°.
- Remove from grill and rest 5 minutes.
- Dice the chicken.
- Serve chicken on warmed flour tortillas or toasted taco shells with your favorite toppings.
How to Store and Reheat:
- Store leftover grilled chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
- Freeze grilled chicken up to 3 months.
- Reheat in a skillet over medium heat, add 1-2 tablespoons of water, stir occasionally until heated through.

- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 8 soft taco flour tortillas or crunchy taco shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chunky salsa
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/2 cup guacamole
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro, optional
