Grilled Boneless Chicken Thighs
Grilled Boneless Chicken Thighs are a quick and easy dinner for any night of the week. Simply seasoned and grilled with hardwood smoke and finished with a tasty sweet mustard BBQ sauce.
Grilled chicken is always a hit with the whole family and the flavor combinations are endless and lately we’ve been loving this Grilled Asian Chicken.
Chicken thighs are a great option for grilling. They are generally more affordable, more flavorful and will not dry out as quickly as chicken tenders.
Recently, Head Country BBQ sent us a few of their new sauces to try out and we partnered with them on Instagram. We really loved the Sweet Mustard BBQ on this grilled chicken.
Ingredients Needed
- Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs
- Olive Oil
- Kosher Salt
- Coarse Black Pepper
- Sweet Mustard BBQ Sauce or try our homemade Sweet and Spicy Mustard
Step By Step Directions
Remove chicken from packaging and pat dry with paper towels. Place on a rimmed baking sheet.
Drizzle both sides with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory or pecan for hardwood smoke flavor. We are grilling on the Big Green Egg with lump charcoal and hickory chunks.
Cook chicken over indirect fire with the grill closed for 5 minutes.
Turn the chicken and brush with sauce. Close the lid and cook another 3 minutes.
Turn the chicken once more and brush again with sauce.
Continue to cook until chicken reaches 165° using a digital meat thermometer.
Remove from grill and serve immediately.
These chicken thighs turn out tender and juicy with so much flavor. The hardwood smoke pairs perfectly with the sweet and tangy mustard bbq sauce.
Recipe Notes
Storage: Store chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Reheat: Slice chicken and cook in a skillet coated lightly with olive oil over medium heat, stirring until heated through.
Budget Tip: We like to grill a whole family pack of thighs and to have leftovers for quick sandwiches, wraps and salads for another dinner or easy lunches.
