We like to buy a whole pork loin and slice it up into thick cut pork chops. For this recipe we used the large end of the loin to make a 3 pound loin roast.

The secret to tender and juicy grilled pork loin is to not over cook it. Use a digital meat thermometer and cook the pork for 140°. Rest the pork before slicing. We are using our favorite pork rub to season the pork and then it gets even more flavor with our homemade Jalapeño Peach BBQ Sauce.

🔥 Step By Step Directions 

Pork Loin with dry rub ready to grill.

  1. Pat pork loin dry with paper towels. 
  2. Coat with olive oil and sprinkle with dry rub. Grill with seasoned pork loin.
  3. Cook over indirect fire with the grill closed for 1 hour. Grilling pork loin.
  4. Check with a digital meat thermometer, cooking until internal temperature reaches 145°. Grilled pork loin on a pan.
  5. Remove from grill and rest for 15 minutes before slicing.Slicing pork loin.
  6. Slice the pork loin. Sliced pork on a round platter.
  7. Arrange on in an oven safe dish. Pouring bbq sauce over sliced pork loin on a round platter.
  8. Pour Jalapeño Peach BBQ Sauce over the pork.

  10. Remove from oven and serve immediately.

🔥 How to Store and Reheat

Store leftover pork in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days. 

Reheat in a skillet with additional bbq sauce over medium heat, stirring occasionally until heated through.

  • Build a grill fire to 300° using pecan or hickory.
  • Pat pork loin dry with paper towels. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with pork rub, coating the entire roast.
  • Cook the pork loin over indirect fire with the grill closed. Continue to cook for 1 hour. Check the internal temperature with a digital meat thermometer and continue to cook until temperature reaches 140°.
  • Remove to a cutting board and rest 15 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice the pork loin and place in an oven proof dish. Pour the jalapeño bbq sauce over the pork.
  • Broil for 5 minutes or until sauce is bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and serve immediately.
