Side Dishes to Serve with Ribs:

  • Creamy Coleslaw is always a great side dish with anything barbecue or grilled. This is my tried and true recipe that everyone loves.
  • Creamy Dill Potato Salad is a great make ahead side for just about any meal and it’s so good with the mustard bbq!

We like to grill 2 racks of ribs at once so that we have them for an easy meal later in the week. Grilling on the weekend is my favorite kind of meal prep.

It’s just as easy to grill two racks of ribs or two smoked chickens as it is one. Then we have at least one or two meals that we can make from the extra on busy weeknights.

What is the difference in baby back ribs and spare ribs?

Baby back ribs are more tender and and a little more lean than spare ribs but often cost a little more. Baby back ribs are from where the rib and spine meet after the loin has been taken out.

Use either kind of ribs for this recipe, both are going to be flavorful, tender and delicious. We generally just pick up what is available when we go to the store, but baby backs are my favorite.
