Ingredients for Apple Cider Marinade:
- Apple Cider
- Brown Sugar
- Garlic Powder
- Kosher Salt
- Dry Mustard
How to Make Apple Cider Marinade:
- Pour apple cider into a small pan.
- Add brown sugar, garlic powder, salt and dry mustard, whisk to combine.
- Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Cook, stirring often for about 5 minutes.
- Pour into a jar to cool before using as a marinade.
Marinade can be made 2 days in advance. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Recipes Using Apple Cider Marinade:
We smoked 2 whole chickens that were marinated and injected with the apple cider marinade. The chicken turned out juicy and delicious with lots of flavor.
Roast beef is also delicious marinated and grilled with hickory smoke. We sliced it thin and made delicious roast beef sandwiches and these Cheesesteak Rolls for a quick and easy meal.
It would also be amazing for pork chops or a pork butt on the grill.

Ingredients
- 2 cups apple cider
- 6 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1//2 teaspoon dry mustard
Instructions
- Pour apple cider into a small pan.
- Whisk in brown sugar, garlic, salt and dry mustard.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally bringing to a boil. Cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a mason jar. Cool before using as marinade.
Notes
Marinade can be made 2 days in advance and kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
