Peach BBQ Sauce

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger or 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- ¼ cup orange juice
- 1 cup peach preserves
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons brown mustard
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon chili flakes
In a medium size sauce pan, add olive oil, garlic and ginger. Cook over medium heat about 3 minutes, stirring often.
Whisk in orange juice, peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, brown mustard, smoked paprika, salt and chili flakes.
Bring mixture to a boil, whisking often.
Lower to simmer and cook 10 minutes, whisking often, scraping sides and bottom of the pan.
Remove from heat and cool slightly before refrigerating.
- Storage: Store in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

- Fresh Peaches: Use fresh peaches cooked down with sugar or brown sugar in place of the peach preserves if desired.
