Honey Chipotle Pork Chops

Honey Chipotle Pork Chops are a weeknight favorite that can be on the dinner table in about 30 minutes. Grilled pork chops glazed with a delicious honey chipotle bbq sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4-5 center cut pork chops - thick cut
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic

Honey Chipotle Sauce

  • ¼ cup salted butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons ground chipotle or ancho chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory, pecan or oak chunks for smoke flavor.
  • Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and place on a rimmed baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and garlic on both sides.
  • Melt butter in a small pan. Remove from heat and stir in honey, chipotle, chili powder and smoked paprika.
  • Grill the pork chops over direct fire for 1-2 minutes to sear.
  • Flip the pork chops and close the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • Brush with honey chipotle sauce, flip the pork chops, brushing the other side with sauce.
  • Close the grill and continue to cook until pork chops reach 145° using a digital meat thermometer.
  • Remove from the grill and rest 5 minutes before serving. Drizzle more sauce over pork chops if desired.

Notes

  • Make it Spicy: These pork chops are mildly spicy, if you want a real spicy kick, add cayenne pepper to the sauce or chili flakes.
  • Leftover Pork Chops: Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
  • Leftover Sauce: Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 1 week.
  • Reheat: Slice pork chops and reheat in a skillet coated lightly with olive oil over medium-high heat. Drizzle with sauce if desired.
