- 1 pound okra
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Prepare a grill fire to 350°.
Wash and dry the okra.
In a small bowl whisk together olive oil, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper.
Drizzle over the okra and toss together.
Cook over direct fire on the grill with the lid closed for 5 minutes.
Use tongs to turn the okra and continue to cook another 3- 5 minutes or until tender and slightly charred.
Remove from grill and serve immediately.
- Choose small to medium size okra pods with no black spots.
- Okra can be grilled on skewers if you are worried about it falling through the grates.
- Italian Salad dressing can be substituted for the oil, vinegar and seasonings.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
- Reheat in a skillet coated with olive oil over medium heat, stirring until heated through.
