Fajita Seasoning

Fajita Seasoning is a simple homemade spice blend perfect for chicken, beef or shrimp. This basic recipe will add the all of the flavors you are looking for in a plate of sizzling fajitas and you probably have everything to make it in your pantry.

Ingredients

  • cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated garlic
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons ancho chili powder or regular chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons coarse black pepper

Instructions

  • Add brown sugar, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper to a bowl. Mix with a large tined fork or whisk until completely combined.
  • Store in an airtight container in the pantry up to 6 months. Stir before using.

Notes

Use 1/4 cup per pound of meat for fajitas.
Mix with olive oil and citrus juice or pineapple juice for fajita marinade.
