- 4 boneless pork chops
- ½ cup real cane syrup or molasses
- ½ cup V8 juice
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 ½ teaspoons Louisiana hot sauce
- 1 ½ teaspoons spicy brown mustard
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Make the Marinade: In a small saucepan, add real cane syrup, V8 juice, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and mustard.
Whisk together and cook over medium heat just until the mixture starts to bubble.
Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Speed up the cooling process in the refrigerator if needed.
Place pork chops in a zip top bag.
Pour 3/4 cup of marinade over pork chops, squeezing out the excess air. Turn over the bag a few times to coat the pork chops in the marinade. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours.
Prepare a grill fire to 350° using pecan or hickory for smoke flavor.
Remove pork chops from marinade. Season with salt and pepper.
Place over indirect fire and cook with the grill closed about 8 minutes.
Turn the pork chops and continue to cook until pork reaches 145° using a digital meat thermometer.
Remove pork chops to a serving platter and allow to rest 5 minutes before serving.
Store leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Slice pork chops and place in a skillet with additional marinade. Cook over medium heat, stirring until heated through.
