- 1 Pork Butt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup Dry Rub
for the Creamy Mojo Sauce
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- ⅓ cup orange juice
- ⅓ cup lime juice
- 4 cloves garlic cloves
- ½ cup cilantro
- 2 tablespoon honey
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
for the Hoagies
- 6 hoagie buns
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 ½ pounds smoked pulled pork
- onion strings optional
How to Make Smoked Pulled Pork:
Coat pork butt with olive oil and dry rub.
Cook over indirect grill fire at about 325° with the lid closed. Cook for about 3 hours or until internal temperature reaches about 205°.
Remove from grill and rest about 20 minutes. Use large forks or meat claws to shred the pork.
Pork can be cooled and stored in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
How to Make Creamy Mojo Sauce:
Place orange juice, lime juice, minced garlic, cilantro, cumin, salt and pepper in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Add sour cream and blend until well combined.
Pour into a mason jar or small pitcher. Refrigerate until ready to use. Sauce will stay fresh up to 5 days, stir before using.
How to Make Smoked Pulled Pork Hoagies:
Butter and lightly toast hoagie buns.
Top with smoked pulled pork.
Drizzle with Creamy Mojo Sauce.
Top with crispy onion strings if desired.
