- 4 pork chops
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup sweet and tangy bbq sauce
Prepare a grill fire to 350°. Use hickory or pecan chunks for smoke flavor.
Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and place on a baking sheet.
Spray or brush both sides with olive oil.
Sprinkle with garlic, salt and pepper.
Cook pork chops over indirect fire with the grill closed about 5 minutes.
Flip the pork chops and cook another 5 minutes.
Brush with bbq sauce. Flip and brush the other side with sauce.
Close the grill lid and continue to cook about 3- 5 minutes or until pork chops reach 140° using a digital thermometer.
Remove to a serving tray and rest about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Store leftover pork chops in a ziploc bag or airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
Slice pork chops before reheating. Cook in a skillet with bbq sauce over medium heat, stirring until heated through.
