Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup sweet and tangy bbq sauce

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to 350°. Use hickory or pecan chunks for smoke flavor.
  • Pat pork chops dry with paper towels and place on a baking sheet.
  • Spray or brush both sides with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle with garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Cook pork chops over indirect fire with the grill closed about 5 minutes.
  • Flip the pork chops and cook another 5 minutes.
  • Brush with bbq sauce. Flip and brush the other side with sauce.
  • Close the grill lid and continue to cook about 3- 5 minutes or until pork chops reach 140° using a digital thermometer.
  • Remove to a serving tray and rest about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store leftover pork chops in a ziploc bag or airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
Slice pork chops before reheating. Cook in a skillet with bbq sauce over medium heat, stirring until heated through.
