- 1 ½ pounds chicken tenders
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup sweet and tangy bbq sauce
Prepare a grill fire to about 300° with hickory or pecan chunks for smoke flavor.
Pat chicken tenders dry with paper towels and drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Place chicken over indirect grill fire for about 5 minutes with the grill closed.
Flip chicken and coat with bbq sauce.
Close the grill and cook for another 5 minutes.
Turn chicken and brush with sauce.
Cook until internal temperature reaches 165° using a digital thermometer.
Remove from grill and rest 5 minutes before serving.
Store leftover grilled chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
Slice chicken tenders and reheat in a skillet with additional bbq sauce over low heat. Stir occasionally, cooking about 5 minutes until heated through.
