Instructions

  • Prepare a 350° grill fire with hickory or pecan chunks for smoke flavor.
  • Pat chicken dry with paper towels and place on a platter. 
  • Prepare the apricot bbq sauce and set aside. 
  • Cook chicken tenders over indirect fire with the grill lid closed, about 5 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken tenders and coat with sauce. Close the lid and continue to grill 5 minutes.
  • Flip chicken again and coat with sauce. Continue to cook until chicken reaches 165° using a  digital thermometer.
  • Remove from grill and allow chicken to rest about 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with additional apricot bbq sauce.

Notes

How to Store and Reheat:

  1. Store cooled chicken wrapped in plastic wrap or foil in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
  2. Reheat sliced chicken tenders in a skillet with additional bbq sauce over medium heat, stirring often, about 5 minutes or until heated through.
