Apricot BBQ Ribs

Apricot BBQ Ribs are tender, juicy and downright delicious. If you are craving tender, smoky ribs with a sticky-sweet sauce, this is the recipe for you.

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to 350° with hickory for smoke flavor. 
  • Pat ribs dry with paper towels and place on a baking sheet. 
  • Spray or brush both sides of the ribs with olive oil.
  • In a small bowl, mix up the dry rub. 
  • Sprinkle rub on both sides of the ribs, heavily on the meaty side. 
  • Cook ribs over indirect fire with the grill lid closed about 1 hour 15 minutes.
  • Check internal temperature using a digital thermometer and continue cooking until ribs reach between 195° and 205°. 
  • Remove from grill to a pan and brush with apricot bbq sauce.
  • Allow to rest about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store cooled ribs wrapped in plastic wrap or foil in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Freeze in 2 layers of plastic wrap and a layer of foil for up to 3 months. Label with contents and date.
Reheat ribs in a single layer in a baking pan in a 350° oven. Brush with additional sauce and cook for about 10- 15 minutes or until heated through.
