- 3 pounds chicken tenders
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ cup Best Dry Rub recipe below
Prepare a grill fire to 300° with hickory or oak for smoke flavor.
Remove chicken from packaging and pat dry with paper towels and place on a baking sheet.
Drizzle olive oil over both sides of chicken.
Sprinkle with dry rub and press into chicken over all sides.
Cook chicken over indirect fire with the lid closed for about 8 minutes. Turn and continue to cook another 8 - 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165° with a digital thermometer.
Remove from grill and allow to rest 5 minutes before serving.
Store leftover chicken tenders in a zip top bag or wrapped in plastic wrap up to 4 days.
Reheat in a covered skillet using 1-2 tablespoons of water with the chicken tenders. Cook over medium heat for about 5 - 8 minutes.
