Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sirloin steak
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup Steak Rub

Instructions

  • Pat steak dry with paper towels.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with dry rub on both sides.
  • Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory or oak chunks for smoke flavor.
  • Place the steak onto the hot grill fire and cook with the grill closed for 5-7 minutes.
  • Flip the steak and continue to cook for another 4-5 minutes until desired level of doneness is reached using a digital meat thermometer. We cooked ours to 140° internal temperature.
  • Remove steak from the grill and let steak rest for 5 -10 minutes for the best results.
  • Slice steak into thin strips and serve immediately.
