Spicy Maple Glazed Salmon

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • ¼ cup butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons Out Grilling SPG Seasoning or favorite seasoning salt
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce we like Louisiana Hot Sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your grill to 300°F.
  • Place salmon fillets on a platter and top each with butter.
  • Season generously with Out Grilling SPG or your favorite seasoning salt.
  • In a small bowl, stir together maple syrup and hot sauce until well combined.
  • Place the seasoned salmon fillets directly on the grill grates, skin side down if applicable.
  • Brush the salmon with the spicy maple glaze, close the grill and continue cooking.
  • Continue to brush with glaze every 5 minutes while cooking.
  • Cook until the internal temperature reaches 135°F, using a digital meat thermometer for accuracy.
  • Remove from the grill and rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Spice level: Add additional hot sauce, cayenne pepper or chili flakes for a spicier version.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven, stove top or air fryer.
