Grilled Chipotle Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ pounds chicken tenders
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Out Grilling SPG Seasoning or all purpose season salt
  • ½ cup chipotle sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro chopped

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to 300°.
  • Remove chicken from packaging and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Drizzle chicken with olive oil and season with SPG Seasoning on both sides.
  • In a small bowl, combine chipotle sauce and lime juice. Set aside.
  • Place seasoned chicken tenders onto a hot grill and cook with the grill closed 10 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken and brush with chipotle sauce in a thick layer. Continue cooking 5 minutes with the grill closed. Flip chicken again, brushing with more chipotle sauce.
  • Cook until chicken reaches 165 degrees using a digital meat thermometer.
  • Remove from grill to a serving platter.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
  • Reheat: Cook chicken in a foil packet in a 350° oven for 15 minutes or in a skillet lightly coated with olive oil on the stove top, turning to heat from both sides.
