- 2 ½ pounds sirloin steak
- 2 sweet onions
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 2 teaspoons ground rosemary
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Cut sirloin into 2 inch chunks.
Cut onions in half and slice into 1/4 inch thick slices.
Drizzle olive oil over steak and onions.
Mix brown sugar, garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper together in a bowl.
Sprinkle over the steak, toss to coat.
Prepare a grill fire to 350° with hickory or oak for smoke flavor.
Cook the steak bites and onions over indirect fire with the grill closed about 5 minutes.
Use tongs to turn the steak bites and continue to cook for another 7- 10 minutes until steak bites reach desired internal temperature using a digital thermometer.
Remove from grill to a serving platter and serve immediately.
How to Store and Reheat:
- Store leftover steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
- To reheat, cook in a skillet coated with olive oil over medium heat, stirring occasionally until heated through.
