Grilled Garlic Butter Shrimp

Grilled Garlic Butter Shrimp is a quick and easy meal for any night of the week. Grilled shrimp coated in decadent toasted garlic butter can be ready in about 15 minutes. Great as a main dish or easy party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup salted butter
  • 2 large garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 ½ pounds jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined
  • fresh parsley optional garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to 300° with pecan chunks for smoke flavor.
  • Make the garlic butter in a small skillet, melting butter over low heat.
  • Add minced garlic, stir frequently until garlic is toasted and lightly browned.
  • Remove from heat, stir in rosemary, thyme, and pepper, stir to combined. Set aside 2 minutes.
  • Stir in brown sugar and set aside.
  • Grill shrimp over indirect fire for about 5 minutes with the grill closed or until shrimp reaches 145°, checking with a digital thermometer. Shrimp will be pink and curled, no longer translucent.
  • Remove to a rimmed sheet pan.
  • Drizzle with garlic butter and toss to coat.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Recipe can be doubled as needed.
Store leftover shrimp in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
Reheat in a skillet coated in melted butter over low heat about 3- 5 minutes, turning half way through.
