Peach Cobbler Dump Cake

Peach Cobbler Dump Cake is a quick and easy dessert that can be made on the grill for the perfect ending to any family meal. Made easily with fresh or canned peaches and a box cake mix.

Ingredients

  • 1 can 29 ounces sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 box 15 ounces yellow cake mix
  • ¾ cup butter melted
  • vanilla ice cream for serving optional

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to about 350°.
  • Pour peaches with juice into a 10 inch cast iron skillet.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon over peaches.
  • Top with dry cake mix, spreading into an even layer.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix, covering the entire surface, but do not mix.
  • Cook over indirect fire with the grill closed for about 25- 30 minutes or until edges are bubbly and topping is golden brown.
  • Remove from grill and cool 10 minutes before serving.
  • Top with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

Fresh peaches: Use about 6- 8 fresh peaches. Peel and toss with about ½ cup of sugar. Proceed with the same directions. Peach pie filling will also work in this recipe.
Store leftover cobbler covered in the refrigerator up to 3 days.
Reheat in microwave before serving if desired.
