Grilled Salmon

Grilled Salmon with garlic and herb glaze is a flavorful meal to make any night of the week.  A quick and easy dinner that your entire family will enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 salmon fillets
  • ¼ cup malt vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon olive oil divided use
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan heat the malt vinegar, molasses, 1 teaspoon olive oil, brown sugar, garlic, onion, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes just until sugars are dissolved and mixture is combined. Set aside to come to room temperature.
  • Pat salmon dry with paper towels and prepare a grill fire to about 400° with pecan wood for smoke flavor.
  • Brush skin side of salmon with remaining olive oil and place over indirect heat.
  • Brush with glaze and cook with the lid closed.
  • Brush with additional glaze every 5 minutes and continue to cook until salmon reaches about 130- 135° using a digital thermometer.
  • Remove from grill and allow to rest 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in refrigerator up to 2 days.
Reheat in a skillet with 2 tablespoons of water, covered over medium heat. About 5 minutes.
