Asian Beef is a delicious dinner for any night of the week. A quick hoisin sauce marinade adds amazing flavor to beef that is quickly grilled and served with rice and steamed vegetables.

- 2 pounds sirloin steak sliced thin
- ¾ cup Light Soy Sauce
- ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons peanut butter smooth or crunchy
- ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- ⅓ cup sesame oil
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons hot sauce
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro optional garnish
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional for garnish
- Cooked Rice for serving
- Steamed Broccoli & Carrots for serving
Add soy sauce, peanut butter, brown sugar, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil and hot sauce to a sauce pan. Cook over medium heat until sauce comes to a bubble, whisking occasionally. Set aside to cool.
Cut steak into thin slices, place in a zip top bag and pour half of the sauce over the steak. Press air out of the bag and seal. Turn the bag over several times until steak is well coated. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Build a grill fire to 350° using hickory for smoke flavor. Place a griddle pan onto the grill.
Pour steak and marinade onto the griddle pan. Spread into an even layer, cooking with the grill closed about 5 minutes.
Stir steak and continue to cook until steak reaches 145° using a digital meat thermometer.
Remove from grill and garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds.
Serve with cooked rice and steamed vegetables, drizzle with sauce if desired.
Recipe Variations:
Add red pepper flakes to the sauce for more of a spicy kick.
Garnish with sliced green onions.
Serve with steamed snow peas or green beans.
Make with ground beef for a quick rice bowl.

Storage: Store leftover grilled steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days. Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 1 week.
Reheat: Place tender beef slices in a skillet with sauce and cook over medium heat, stirring until heated through.
