Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups diced tomatoes
  • ¾ cup diced red onion
  • ½ jalapeño seeds removed and diced (more if you like it spicy)
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • cup chopped cilantro optional

Instructions

  • Add tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, and garlic to a bowl.
  • Squeeze the juice of a lime over the top and season with salt and pepper. Add cilantro if using.
  • Mix well.

Notes

Store salsa fresca in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 2 days.
